Female applicants will receive up to 30% of the yearly rewards. To be eligible for a scholarship, you must receive at least 60% on the qualifying exam or an equivalent grade. A master’s degree is required as a qualifying test for PhD courses, although a bachelor’s degree is necessary for master’s degree courses. Only students who have obtained an unconditional offer of admission to one of the top 500 international colleges or universities for the academic year 2024 will be chosen for scholarship awards during the first round of selection.

• If the scholarship recipient is unable to complete the course within the time frame specified, and the candidate’s guide or department head certifies that the candidate is not lacking in his or her commitment and dedication to studies, the ministry will exempt him or her from the defaulter’s penalty clause.
• The Indian mission would also give round-trip flights to India via the shortest route and in economy class.
• If the awarded student stays abroad for more than one month after finishing the course, he or she must pay for his or her return to India.
