Finance Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the launch of Maharashtra Lek Ladki Yojana during the budget speech for the financial year 2023-24 by the Government of Maharashtra. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to the daughters of the state for education. Through this scheme, 1 lakh 1 thousand rupees will be provided for the daughters of poor families in Maharashtra. This amount will be given to the daughters in different phases from their birth till they complete 18 years of age. The benefit of Maharashtra Lek Ladki Yojana will be given to the yellow and orange ration cardholders of the state i.e. daughters of poor families. Under this scheme, Rs 5,000 will be given after the birth of the girl. After that, financial assistance will be provided from time to time till the completion of 18 years of age.
