Merit scholarships provide financial aid to deserving students, allowing them to pursue their educational goals and pursue a rewarding profession. Merit-based scholarships assess a student’s merit based on their academic records or achievement on scholarship tests. A variety of organizations, both public and private, provide merit scholarships to students to encourage them to continue their education or take professional courses. Government-funded scholarships include national merit scholarships administered by either the state or federal governments. While state scholarships are tailored to the requirements of students in a certain state, central government scholarships are available to students across the country.
