Eligibility Criteria For the National Scholarship Portal

1. The applicant must be a resident of a North Eastern state, such as Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, or Nagaland (only for the Ishan Uday special scholarship scheme).
2. The applicant must be enrolled in the first year of a degree program (Ishan Uday scholarship). The applicant must be in the first year of a standard master’s degree program (PG Indira Gandhi scholarship).
3. The candidate must be the family’s only girl child (twin daughters may also apply). (Only for Postgraduate Indira Gandhi Scholarships for Single Girl Child)
4. An applicant’s age should be under 30.
5. The applicant’s family income must be less than 4.5 lakh rupees.

Eligibility Criteria For PG Scholarship For University Rank Holders

1. The applicant must have received a rank in their graduation examination (for PG scholarships for university rank holders).
2. The applicant must have received a minimum of 60% in their graduation (for PG scholarships for university rank holders).
3. The applicant’s maximum age is 30 years old.
4. The applicant must be a member of the SC/ST community (for the PG scholarship scheme for SC/ST students).
5. A candidate must be in their first year of post-graduate studies.

How to Apply Online for the National Scholarship Portal?

• Visit the NSP website (https://scholarships.gov.in/).

• Click “New Registration” or “Student Login.”

• Provide your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
• Select the scholarship scheme you’re applying for.

• Use your registered credentials to log in.

• Complete the scholarship application form.
• Enter personal information, educational details, and bank account information.
• Upload required documents, including a photo, signature, income certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, mark sheet, and bank passbook.
• Review your application.
• Click “Submit.”
• Note the Application ID for future reference.
• Select “Renewal” if you’re renewing a scholarship application.
• Check the status using your Application ID.
• If approved, the scholarship amount is sent to your bank account.
