On Tuesday, the Karnataka Health Department launched Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar Hrudaya Yojana to treat people who have had unexpected cardiac issues or heart attacks. Dinesh Gundu Rao, Karnataka’s Health Minister, announced the program only two days after the death anniversary of renowned Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar. He died of a heart attack when he was 46 years old. The design was also named after the late actor. Puneeth Rajkumar received the “Karnataka Ratna” posthumously. There are two ways to implement the program. Public spaces should be equipped with hub and spoke models and automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

• BPL cardholders will receive free care at superspecialty hospital centers.
