The objective of RTE Karnataka Admission

In 2009, the Indian government passed the Right to Education Act. On August 4, 2009, the Parliament of India approved the RTE Act. This RTE Act also stands for the Right to Education Act. Under the Human Rights Act, every student has the right to an education. In a nutshell, the RTE Act of 2009 guarantees every child the right to a free and compulsory education. According to the government, Article 21A of the Indian Constitution requires children to attend school until they reach eighth grade. For that reason, the government has established RTE schools in every state. States include MP, Gujarat, CG, UP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and many more. The primary goal of the Right to Education Act is to improve our country’s educational system. Along with it, providing education to students is a fundamental right.

Eligibility Criteria for RTE Karnataka Admission

  • Students must be permanent residents of the state of Karnataka.
  • Age (Date of Birth) range required from 01-June-2018 to 01-January-2020 for admission to LKG (Age should be between 3 years 5 months and 5 years).
  • A family’s total annual income should not be more than 3.5 lakhs.
  • Priority is given to children who are orphans, HIV-affected or HIV-infected, transgender, children with special needs, migrant and street children, farmer’s children, and children who have committed suicide.
  • Children in underprivileged and weaker categories
  • Government employees are also eligible to apply.
  • For children entering first grade, the birthdate must fall between 1 June 2016 and 1 August 2018. (5 years, 5 months to 7 years).
