We are all aware that many other schemes are being implemented in our country to assist citizens; similarly, the Karnataka State Government has launched a new health scheme for its employees. The scheme’s name is Jyothi Sanjeevini Scheme 2024. The state government started this scheme to provide health care to government employees. To take advantage of the Jyothi Sanjeevini Scheme, government employees must first register with the Suvarna Arogya Trust.

Jyothi Sanjeevini Scheme 

The state of Karnataka has launched a new health care plan for its employees. The scheme’s name is Jyothi Sanjeevini. This scheme was started to provide health insurance to government employees. To take advantage of this scheme, government employees must first register with the Arogya Suraksha Trust. This scheme will provide treatment for serious medical conditions. If the beneficiary will only benefit from this scheme when they are hospitalized or undergo surgery. This Jyothi Sanjeevini Scheme 2024 is abbreviated as JSS. This scheme will allow for cashless treatment in selected hospitals. The Jyothi Sanjeevini Scheme 2024 includes hospitals such as Apollo BGS, Bharat Cancer Hospital, Bhanavi Hospital, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardio-Vascular Sciences and Research, Vrindavan Hospital, KR Hospital, Vikram Jeshta Hospital, Radiant Hospital, and Mission Hospital.

The Objective of the Jyothi Sanjeevini Scheme 

Beneficiaries of the Jyoti Sanjeevani Scheme will be identified using their policy number from the Government Insurance Department, which will be linked to the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms’ HRMS database. The government has allowed all government employees and dependents of beneficiaries of Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust to access the database for identification, including the wife or husband, father or mother (including stepmother) of a government employee. All of those people, most of whom are related to a government employee but whose total monthly income does not exceed Rs 6000, as well as children dependent on the beneficiary (including stepchildren and adopted children), will benefit from this scheme.

Benefits & Features

  • Cashless treatment for government employees will be provided in hospitals covered by Jyothi Sanjeevini.
  • This scheme covers a variety of diseases, including neurology, burns, cancer, kidney disease, children’s disease, and accidents.
  • These services are available at select government and private hospitals.
  • This scheme is only for Karnataka government employees and their dependents.
  • Government employees with a basic salary of Rs 16000/- per month will be treated in the general ward.
  • Employees will receive JSS cards that can be used for hospital treatment.
  • This scheme covers approximately 499 different types of heart-related surgeries.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Employees who work in an aided autonomous institute without a KGID number linked to the HRMS database are ineligible to apply under this scheme.
  • To benefit from this scheme, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Karnataka.
  • The applicant under this scheme must be a serving state government employee.
  • Pensioners have been excluded from this scheme.
  • The police department cannot apply under this scheme because there is a separate health insurance scheme for police employees called the Police Arogya Bhagya Yojana.

Jyothi Sanjeevini Scheme Online Registration Procedure?
  • You do not need to register to take advantage of the Karnataka government’s scheme.
  • All beneficiaries are required to update their own and their dependents’ information in the e-Governance HRMS database through DPAR.
  • To take advantage of cashless treatment under this scheme, you must have your KGID number and an Aadhar ID card.
  • Along with this, you must take your KGID number and Aadhar card to Arogya Mitra for verification.
