The Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana 2024 benefits all Goan residents, regardless of their financial situation. Goa was the first state to provide health insurance to all of its citizens, regardless of financial situation. Anyone who has lived in Goa for five years or more is eligible for the scheme. The DDSSY is now accepting new registrations, which can be done either online or by visiting one of the designated facilities with the required paperwork. The allocated budget for fiscal year 2020-2021 is Rs.90.00 crores, which is divided as follows: 25 Deen Dayal Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, 25 Medical & Public Health, 80 General, 800 Other Expenses, and 50 Other Charges. Under the Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana 2024, a family of up to three people will receive a health insurance cover of Rs.2.5 lakh, while a family of four or more will receive a cover of Rs.4 lakh. The government will pay the insurance company the yearly insurance premium payment of Rs.3,206 per household. As part of the yojana, all qualified applicants are receiving health cards from the state government, which can be used to access insurance benefits at any accredited private or public hospital.

The Scheme was operational until May 31, 2018. The TPA MDIndia Health Insurance TPA Pvt.Ltd took over management of the DDSSY Scheme from the former TPA Paramount Health Services & Insurance TPA Pvt. Ltd on 01/11/2019. Direct payments are handled by the DHS’s DDSSY Cell. The program includes 447 medical procedures in total. There are currently 35 private hospitals in Goa, 6 government hospitals, 10 private hospitals outside of Goa, and 1 government-aided hospital.

Benefits of DDSSY Goa Yojana 

• Annual health insurance for 2.5 lakh people.
• If the surgery is covered by insurance and performed at the designated EHCP, the patient may present the card to the DDSSY Sahayak at the hospital, and the Sahayak will submit a request for pre-authorization to the ISA pre-authorization physician after speaking with the physician.
• Under the scheme, families with four or more members are eligible for an annual coverage of Rs.4 lakhs. However, policyholders can get more money by paying a higher premium if their treatment costs more than the allotted amount.
• The recipient may contact any Empaneled Health Care Provider (EHCP) listed on the website.
